Barreirinhas town is located on the coast of the state of Maranhão. Along with two other cities, Santo Amaro and Primeira Cruz, it is home to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
About 4 hours drive from the capital São Luís, Barreirinhas ends up being the choice of most people who visit the national park because it is the most complete of all the base cities.

From São Luís, the trip can be made by plane, bus, van or car. The bus or van trip takes about 4 hours and is offered by transport companies.

It is not a convencional boogie where athletes apply for training focused on improving skills.
It is commom to choose not jumping on certain days.
People want to experience the various other natural and cultural attractions, or just take a day off to rest at the quiet lodge village that hosts the event – Porto Preguiça.
Attractives
in Lençóis
The main attractions within the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park are the Lagoa Bonita Circuit and the Lagoa Azul Circuit. To see Lençóis Maranhenses in an even more spectacular way, take in the views during the flight before the falls.
Outside the park, the boat ride along the Preguiças River is the most popular activity among visitors. The ride crosses the river until reaching Vassouras, Mandacaru and Praia do Caburé, which can also be reached by quad bike.
The tours can last the entire day.

Known for its cultural and touristic richness, Atins is also famous because of it’s great conditions for kite surfing
Atins is a close city where the party goes from the sunset to late night when the boats and trucks leaves the party.
The way back
Trucks go to a night dunes safari in the way back to Barreirinhas for about 2 hours. Boats cross the Poeira River by 1 hour.
